About this policy

This policy explains how we ship the physical products sold on the 1000 Hives website and how long delivery usually takes. If you are a sponsor, there is nothing to ship for the sponsorship itself. The relevant welcome materials are sent to you digitally by email.

What we ship

We ship the following physical items.

Merchandise. Hoodies, tees, caps, and other branded apparel. These are custom printed to order.

Honey and food products. Where available, we ship honey harvested through the 1000 Hives network.

Other products. Occasional items listed in the shop.

What we do not ship

Sponsorships. Hive sponsorships are not physical items. After you sponsor, you receive a confirmation email and access to the Sponsor Hub for ongoing updates. There is nothing to post.

Gift sponsorship certificates. Gift certificates are delivered digitally by email to the recipient on the date you choose. Nothing is posted.

Dispatch times

Custom-printed merchandise. Most of our apparel is print-on-demand. Please allow up to one month from order to delivery for custom-printed items. The print partner produces each item after the order is placed, which keeps stock waste low but adds time at the start. The longest part of the wait is the print run. Once the item is dispatched, standard delivery times apply below.

Honey and stocked items. Dispatched within three to five business days of your order. Perishable items are posted in a way that keeps them safe in transit.

Digital items. Sent within twenty-four hours of purchase, or on the scheduled date you chose for a gift.

Delivery times after dispatch

Australia Standard. Two to ten business days once the item is dispatched. Regional and remote destinations sit at the longer end.

Australia Express. One to three business days once the item is dispatched, where Express is offered at checkout.

Delivery times are estimates only. Actual delivery depends on Australia Post or the relevant freight provider.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the destination and the size and weight of the items in your order. You will see the total before you pay. From time to time we may offer free standard shipping over a minimum order value. Any such offer will be shown on the website.

Tracking your order

Once your order is dispatched, we will send you a tracking number by email. You can use this number to follow the parcel's progress through Australia Post or the relevant freight provider.

Where we ship

We currently ship within Australia.

International shipping is not offered by default. If you are based outside Australia and would like to order from us, please email hello@1000hives.com.au and we will see whether we can arrange something on request.

Delayed or lost parcels

Once a parcel leaves our hands, it is in the care of Australia Post or the relevant freight provider. If your parcel is taking longer than expected, first check the tracking link we sent you. If the tracking has not updated for more than ten business days after dispatch, email us and we will open an investigation with the freight provider.

We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, strikes, public holidays, or other events outside our control. However, if a parcel is confirmed lost in transit, we will replace the item at no cost to you.

Damaged parcels

If your parcel arrives damaged, take photos of the outer packaging and the damaged item, and email us within seven days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund under Australian Consumer Law.

Incorrect address

It is your responsibility to enter the correct delivery address at checkout. If an item is returned to us because of an incorrect address, we will contact you to arrange re-shipment. Re-shipment costs are at your expense.

Returns shipping

For returns and refunds, please see our Refund Policy. Return postage for faulty or damaged items is covered by us. Return postage for change-of-mind returns is at the buyer's cost.
